NTPC’s profits dropped to $1.34b in FY 2020

Generation declined to 290.19 billion units compared to last year. India’s state-owned NTPC’s profit after tax fell to $1.34b (₹10,112.81 crore) in FY 2020, from $1.56b (₹11,749.89 crore) in FY 2019 according to a press release. China’s 10.2GW hydro project begins operations

It is expected to become fully operational by end-2021. China has started to commission its 10.2GW Wudongde hydropower project on the Jinsha river in southern China. The project is developed by the state-owned Three Gorges Project Corporation, for a total investment of $17b (CNY120b).
